Amazon MGM Studios has reportedly begun development of a biopic about golfer Tiger Woods.

Barack and Michelle Obama's Higher Ground production company are in talks to produce the project which will be based on Golf Magazine editor-in-chief Kevin Cook's book “The Tiger Slam”.

“King Richard” director Reinaldo Marcus Green is in talks to helm the film adaptation with Winkler Films also producing.

“The Tiger Slam” offered an inside look at the early streak of victories that left Woods leagues ahead of his rivals on the pro golf tour and turned him into one of the most famous athletes in modern history.

Interviews with his caddie, coach, opponents and supporters are featured throughout. Woods became the world’s top golfer at the age of just 21, just a year after turning pro, and held that position for much of the 2000s.

Once on top of the world, Woods’ fell from grace after multiple infidelities and a DUI arrest. Persistent injuries and surgeries have also plagued the golfing superstar, but he remains a household name the world over.
