Mike Holmes Jr. and his wife, Lisa Marie Holmes, have established themselves as forces in home renovation and do-it-yourself projects.

Mike is the son of Mike Holmes Sr., who he appears with on the popular HGTV shows Holmes Family Rescue and Holmes and Holmes. Lisa Marie is no stranger to the home renovation world where her husband and father-in-law work. She teamed up with her husband for a video series called Holmes at Home, where they shared DIY tips, from creating the perfect at-home garden to answering viewers' questions to give them the best solutions to spruce up their homes. Lisa Marie has also made cameos on Mike Jr.'s shows.

He and Lisa Marie first met as teenagers, and have been married since 2017. The couple welcomed a daughter named Azura in 2023 and announced that they are expecting their second child in October 2024. Whether he and Lisa Marie are working together or spending time at home with their daughter, their secret to a happy relationship is remaining present with one another.

Lisa Marie owns a business

Lisa Marie is a fan of doing DIY projects with Mike Jr., but her passion and career are in the health industry. She describes herself as an herbalist, pilates instructor and holistic mother.

She owns a company called L'AB Studio and Clinic, where she teaches fitness classes and sells health food, including her own fresh squeezed orange juice. She also created a signature collection of 22 herbs and helps customers build their own blends to fit their needs.

In October 2024, she announced that she would be selling the building that houses L'AB Studio and Clinic in her first YouTube video. She said, "After three years of owning, running, and managing my holistic health clinic, we decided to put it for sale. With baby number two on the way and I'm chasing a toddler around, it's been really really challenging."

They met as teenagers

Mike Jr. and Lisa Marie are both from Canada. They first met as teenagers and it was love at first sight for Lisa Marie.

"I remember it so vividly," she told Hello! Magazine. "At 18, I said to him, 'I think you're going to be the father of my children one day.' "

He felt the same way about Lisa Marie. "Lisa always had a special place in my heart," he told the outlet. "People who have known me the longest know that. I would light up whenever I saw her. I knew I was going to marry her."

While their relationship as teenagers was brief, they later came back together. After reconnecting, it was clear to them both that they would get married.

"We're best friends. We always make sure we have fun, first and foremost," he said. "We don't hide anything from one another and are both pretty easy going. We could have eloped and been happily married. As long as we're together, that's really all that matters."

They married in 2017

Mike Jr. proposed to Lisa Marie on a trip to Ottawa, Canada, in 2016. The sweet moment was captured for the show Holmes and Holmes. He planned a romantic proposal, starting with a trip to the farmers market, a couples massage and a manicure for Lisa Marie. When they finished the day at dinner, he had a surprise: he rented out a restaurant for the two of them and popped the question.

They married the following year in an outdoor ceremony with a secret garden theme.

"When Michael proposed to me, that's the moment I felt married. I was thinking the wedding is going to be a party and a celebration of love with everyone," Lisa Marie shared with Hello! Magazine. "But after having all of our friends and family acknowledge our marriage, I woke up the morning after our wedding feeling different. It's a cool feeling."

Mike Jr. and Lisa Marie are parents

The couple announced they were expecting their first child on Instagram in January of 2023. Lisa Marie kept her followers up-to-date throughout her pregnancy.

Their daughter, Azura Vie Holmes, was born on June 17, 2023, and Lisa Marie shared an update on her daughter's arrival on Instagram.

"We had the most powerful home birth experience. A story which we will soon share," the caption read. "She is everything we ever dreamed of and more. We've spent the last 8 days completely consumed by her and we are so in love with our new life as parents."

Although they choose to keep Azura's face off of their social media platforms, they often post about their daughter and their new adventure as parents.

Lisa Marie and Mike Jr. shared the exciting news that they were expecting their second child on YouTube.

In a sweet video, Lisa Marie tells him that she is pregnant, capturing his reaction. Lisa Marie enlists the help of the couple's daughter to deliver the surprise. They're together outside by the water with their dog when Lisa Marie turns around and Azura is holding her positive pregnancy test. He can be heard saying, "Are you serious?" while in tears. They then share a sweet moment celebrating.

As the video ends, Lisa Marie turns to her daughter and says, "We were sneaky!"

She started a YouTube channel

Lisa Marie shared that she was urged by friends and followers from Instagram to create a YouTube channel. While she described her experience learning the platform as a grandma learning to text, she is dedicating time to posting videos.

The mom of two is using the outlet to keep her friends and fans updated on her life. It was on YouTube that she shared she was selling her business property and announced she was pregnant with her second baby.
