But there’s one issue that comes with not using the tumble dryer, clothes take a ridiculously long time to dry, especially when the weather is cold and damp.

Not only does this mean we have clothes lying around our house for days, it can also cause condensation, which can lead to mould and make clothes smell damp when they finally do dry.

Thankfully, a woman has shared a bargain buy that will get clothes dry in no time.

Most of use indoor clothes airers in the winter for our laundry, but as stated previously, it can take ages for it to dry.

But this bargain-friendly buy from B&M will solve that problem in no time.

Taking to social media, Gracie, from the UK, shared a dupe of Dry:Soon heated airer which cost around £170.

She found a much cheaper alternative in B&M which was just £50 but has since been slashed in price down to £35.

The heated airer has 12 metres of drying space and just needs to be plugged in.

The metal bars will heat up and you can hang your laundry on top – leading them to dry in no time.

What’s more is that people say it’s so cheap to run especially compared to a tumble dryer.

The post shared to Gracie’s TikTok account @gracieurand went viral with over 585k views and 7,700 likes.

People were quick to take to the comments seemingly desperate to get their hands on the winter essential.

One person wrote: “I have this, it's the best thing and runs cheap.”

Another commented: “I have this! Love it, couldn't be without it now.”

More winter laundry tips

Tackling laundry in the winter can be a challenge, but these handy tips can help you stay on top of it:

  • Use a Dehumidifier: Place a dehumidifier in your drying area to speed up the drying process and prevent dampness.
  • Spin Cycle Boost: Run an extra spin cycle on your washing machine to remove excess water from clothes, reducing drying time.
  • Indoor Drying Rack: Invest in a good-quality indoor drying rack and position it near a radiator or in a well-ventilated room.
  • Tumble Dryer Balls: Add tumble dryer balls to your dryer to help clothes dry faster and reduce static cling.
  • Space-Saving Hangers: Use space-saving hangers or a retractable washing line to maximise indoor drying space.
  • Microfibre Towels: Lay microfibre towels over your drying rack to absorb extra moisture from hanging clothes.
  • Partially Dry Outside: On dry days, hang clothes outside for a short period before bringing them in to finish drying.

These hacks can help you keep your laundry routine efficient and your clothes fresh, even during the colder months.

“I have one, I put it in my bedroom so it doubles as a heater at night,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “They had that today but didn't notice it was a heated one.”

“Make sure you download the app too, scan the barcode and 9/10 it’s usually even cheaper!” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: "Dammit I paid £45 for mine but it came with a cover.”
