Sienna Miller is making a stylish nod to her new partnership with King Charles.
On Dec. 12, the actress, 42, was announced as the latest ambassador for The King's Foundation, joining forces with King Charles in support of its mission. Founded in 1990 by the then-Prince of Wales, The King's Foundation is dedicated to fostering communities and transforming lives through hands-on educational programs focused on traditional skills and sustainability.
Miller, who was born in N.Y.C. and raised in London, brings both star power and a personal passion for the foundation's ethos, marking a new chapter for the charity as it looks ahead to its 35th anniversary in 2025. According to the foundation, she takes a particular interest in textiles and textile production, across which The King's Foundation offers a range of education courses.
The announcement came during The King's Foundation's annual Christmas carol service at St. Paul's Church in Knightsbridge, London, on Thursday evening, where Miller read Sir John Betjeman's iconic "Christmas" alongside Angelica Ellis, an embroidery graduate from The King's Foundation and CHANEL Metiers d'art Embroidery Fellowship.
Miller looked elegant in a navy double-breasted herringbone cashmere jumpsuit designed by The King's Foundation's textiles students. She paired the jumpsuit with red open-toed heels, a matching red clutch and a bold gold necklace for the festive occasion.
Reflecting on her new role, she said she was "thrilled" to be an ambassador "for an organization with such an important ethos – looking to our natural world to create a better future for our planet."
"I am particularly looking forward to exploring my interest in textiles and textile production, which the Foundation has so much expertise in," Miller, who shares daughter Marlowe, 12, with her ex Tom Sturridge, and welcomed a daughter with boyfriend Oli Green earlier this year.
"I'm excited to support the huge range of hands-on opportunities for young people to develop their talents in the sector and see the amazing things they go on to next."
Miller was joined by embroidery graduate Angelica Ellis in giving a reading at the carol concert. Ellis graduated earlier this year from The King's Foundation and CHANEL Metiers d'art Embroidery Fellowship in partnership with Le19M, based at Highgrove Gardens.
Miller visited The King's Foundation's headquarters, Dumfries House, in September 2023 to learn more about the work of the charity and recently attended the organization's annual Awards Ceremony at St James's Palace.
Her appointment follows that of former soccer star David Beckham, who joined The King's Foundation in June. Beckham has visited Highgrove House, where the foundation runs the Metier d'Arts Fellowship, an innovative course focused on textiles and embroidery.
Students are encouraged to be inspired by the sights and flora in Charles' garden at Highgrove. When PEOPLE visited in the summer, Ellis, from London, said she drew inspiration for her idea from the garden's purple and orange blooms of crocuses. "Here, it is all about protecting traditional crafts, which is something I care about too," she said.

"You see the benefits in France where they're quite good at producing and keeping their skills. The project here is super important," she told PEOPLE. "There are things that the tutors here have given me that I don't think you get anywhere else."

Fellow student Rosie Merriman, 23, from Cwmbran, Wales, (who imagined a midnight banquet in the garden for her graduation piece that was set on a corset), added, "Having such a person as the King talking about these crafts puts them on the map again."
"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," she said. "It's rare to be given accommodation and a real diverse garden from where to get inspiration. All of us are inspired by the same place but all the pieces are very different."
