The 39-year-old, who is also known as Rocky B, Plat’num B or Bezzle, is a British rapper, DJ, and former member of 10-piece UK hip hop group Blazin’ Squad.
Marcel became a household name after he appeared on the third series of Love Island in 2017.
In his series, Marcel placed fourth alongside his then-girlfriend Gabby.
Things with Gabby didn’t last, and he later met Rebecca Vieira in 2020.
Marcel and Rebecca welcomed a son in 2021 before getting hitched in 2022.
But things went south for the pair when last year it was revealed that Rebecca had cheated on Marcel.
And now it seems that Marcel might not be ready to find love, despite him heading back into the Love Island villa, with the real reason for him signing up for the show now revealed.
A source told The Sun: “He has done it to relaunch his music career. He met with some producers last year who have worked with Little Mix, Fleur East and Alexandra Burke.
REAL REASON FOR LOVE ISLAND STINT
