Ariana Grande Transforms into a Much Older Version of Herself with Wrinkle Prosthetics - and the Results Are Drastic

The singer looks almost unrecognizable in a short film for her upcoming album 'Eternal Sunshine Deluxe'

Ariana Grande's latest makeover is having her fans do a double take.

On March 28, the singer, 31, released a short film titled Brighter Days Ahead to accompany the deluxe version of her album, Eternal Sunshine, and in the beginning clips she appears onscreen as an older version of herself.

The starring character Peaches, who Grande played in the music video for "We Can't Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)," is now much older, which means the pop star quite literally transformed herself for the role with what appears to be prosthetic wrinkles on her face and body and a gray wig.

This version of Peaches debuts in the very beginning of the 26-minute film, directed by Christian Breslauer, as she arrives at Brighter Days Inc. to undergo "advanced memory restoration" which allows her to go back in time to connect with her younger self and relive of "cherished and painful" memories, reads a description on YouTube.

There are definitely some style similarities between Grande's — erm, Peach's — present and future selfie though, like their love for a perfectly-executed French manicure, a curled ponytail and pastel clothing, which really makes the entire transformation that much more convincing.

Grande gave fans a close-up look at the transformation on her Instagram Stories, sharing a selfie with her faux wrinkles and graying hair, including the ones on her eyebrows.

The extended version of Eternal Sunshine was first seemingly teased by Grande back in January. During an Access Hollywood interview ahead of the Golden Globes, she revealed plans of releasing an "attachment" to her seventh studio album, which was released in March 2024. She added that she worked on the deluxe record last year.

There might be excitement bubbling around Grande's return to music, but she doesn't plan on touring in the near future. "I feel so grateful to the acting, and I think my fans know that music and being on stage will always be a part of my life, but I don't see it coming anytime soon," she told Variety in December, adding that she hopes to explore "different forms of art" and that "acting is feeling like home right now."

Grande made her Hollywood comeback with Wicked and is set to star in the film's upcoming sequel, which is expected to be released in November. She received multiple nods, including her first Oscar nomination, this awards season for her portrayal of Glinda in the Jon M. Chu-directed movie musical.

Throughout the circuit, and the Wickedpress tour that preceded it, Grande stepped up her red carpet game in a variety of designer gowns that ushered in her new era.

Stylist Mimi Cuttrell worked closely with the Grammy winner to curate a magical wardrobe filled with confections that paid homage to Glinda and the Wicked franchisein a multitude of ways. The finale to Grande's sartorial parade happened at the 2025 Oscars, where she walked the carpet in a blush pink Schiaparelli Spring/Summer 2025 Haute Couture gown covered in more than 190,000 sequins and rhinestones before slipping into a ingenious creation by the house that featured a sweet nod to the Wizard of Oz.
