Why Jax Taylor Really Got 'all Those Nose Jobs'

Earlier this month, Jax Taylor confirmed that he has been battling cocaine addiction for many years. The Valley star opened up about the issue on his podcast, In the Mind of a Man with Jax Taylor. One can assume that the drug use would have caused serious issues within his former marriage to Brittany Cartwright.

But did Jax’s cocaine use also cause physical damage to his nose? A podcast listener asked him whether the multiple nose jobs he had were needed to repair damage done by the cocaine use. The Valley star denied any correlation and explained his reasonings for going under the knife.

The Valley’s Jax Taylor shuts down nose job cocaine speculation

On the March 26 episode of In the Mind of a Man with Jax Taylor, the Vanderpump Rules alum spoke about his two former rhinoplasties.

“Did you have to get all those nose jobs because of your cocaine use?” Jax read a fan question.

“No. I didn’t like the way my nose was. I really didn’t. I wanted a nose job years ago but I couldn’t afford it,” The Valley star answered.

“The same nose” runs in the family. And Jax “wanted to” get it done because was not happy with the way he looked. When he had an “opportunity to get it done,” he decided to go under the knife.

While the first round of rhinoplasty was purely for vanity, Jax explained that an accident made a second nose job a necessity. The VPR alum recalled that he “walked into a window” while filming an episode for the hit reality TV show.

“As you guys know, it was filmed,” Jax said. “We were going to Miami. I was in a hurry. I needed to buy a bathing suit and I ran into the store.”

He continued, “It was G Star on Melrose and they had a glass front and I went face first right into the window, smashed my nose, blew out a flip flop, passed out on the floor. It was really, really bad. And then I had to get on a plane, bloody nose, fractured nose to go to Miami. And that’s why I needed the second nose job. So, it was not good.”

In July 2024, Jax checked into an inpatient mental health facility. Shortly thereafter, he revealed a diagnosis for bipolar disorder and PTSD.
