Kanye West made a startling revelation about having his four kids — North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm — with ex-wife Kim Kardashian. The Yeezy founder appeared in an interview with DJ Akademiks, admitting that he didn’t plan to have kids with Kardashian while also opening up about his controversial tweets last month. He even recalled how his relationship with the reality mogul didn’t play out like he envisioned.

On Sunday, DJ Akademiks posted his interview with Kanye West following the livestream, which went viral on social media. A couple of weeks after the rapper wrote a series of explosive tweets against many celebrities, including Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s kids, he opened up about his relationship with his ex-wife and their kids.
DJ Akademiks asked West’s decision to put himself into a relationship with the SKIMS founder. In response, the Yeezy founder claimed that it was his “fault.” West further expressed how he never wanted to have kids with Kardashian so soon into their relationship. He said, “I didn’t want to have children with this person after the first two months of being with them, but that wasn’t God’s plan.”
During the interview, Kanye West doubled down on his argument with Kim Kardashian over trademarking their children’s names. This comes after the reality mogul tried to block the rapper from releasing a song featuring their daughter, North West, and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
West expressed frustration over not having an equal say in their kids’ lives when they have joint custody. He said, “This white woman and this white family have the control of these highly influential Black kids that are half the kids of Ye.” He then declared “war” on his ex-wife and the rest of the Kardashian family.
Previously, Kanye West accused the Kardashians of restricting his parenting. He also called Kim Kardashian a “sex trafficker.” After his meltdown on X (formerly Twitter), he reportedly fled to Japan to “decompress” and take some time off from the chaos.
