Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers were shocked when they learned about Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umanksy’s impending divorce. The estranged couple announced their separation back in October 2023. A whirlwind of headlines hit the front page accusing Mau of cheating and Kyle of having a romance with country singer Morgan Wade. Since then, their lives have been under a microscope. But even amid all the turmoil, the two former loves seem to be making sure to keep their friendship intact.

Kyle Richards will always be Mauricio Umansky's friend

The trailer for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14 showed Sutton Stracke questioning Kyle's upcoming plans regarding her marriage. The Southern belle noted that she thought Kyle should be moving forward with her divorce from Mauricio. The host of E! Had to ask the burning question, "Where do you stand with Mauricio?" Kyle didn't seem phased by the intrusive inquiry. She answered, "It never comes out. And honestly, we haven't felt the need to discuss it. We are the best of friends. We love each other. He's my family no matter what."

The Halloween actress became a bit emotional as she stated, "And there was a time in my life when I didn't have my sisters or parents. So you know he was my only family other than my children. And he always will be." Along with her separation playing out in the new season, Kyle had her first-ever walkout. The trailer showed Kyle yelling, "I'm done! I'm not doing this anymore." As far as walking away from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle noted, "I can never predict what's going to happen for next season. I did not think I would come back for this season. And I survived, prevailed. I'm here."
