Although Crown Princess Victoria spent much of her year carrying out military training with courses both in the spring and the autumn, she was still able to carry out several overseas visits in 2024.
The Swedish Royal Family hosted several incoming State Visits, including those from France, Finland, and Denmark. However, the Swedish Crown Princess grabbed her passport several times throughout the year.
United States of America, February 2024
In February, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel visited California for three days. The trip focused on strengthening relationships and on technology. The couple officially opened the new Swedish consulate-general in San Francisco.
They also met government officials, companies and organisations exploring green transitions and developing work in artificial intelligence.
Belgium, March 2024
On 11 March, the Swedish Crown Princess visited Brussels for an official flag-raising ceremony welcoming Sweden as a full member of NATO. Although Sweden has worked with NATO since 1994, it did not become a full member until this year.
Crown Princess Victoria represented the Swedish Royal Family in Brussels while her parents, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, were in Mexico on a state visit.
Bangladesh, March 2024
In late March, Crown Princess Victoria visited Bangladesh in her role as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme. She was able to attend several events while there, including a panel event celebrating Bangladesh's technological and digital advances.
Crown Princess Victoria also happily unveiled a new portrait hanging at the Asian University for Women. In the portrait, she is wearing an ice-blue gown and the Napoleonic Cut Steel Tiara, one of the most unique tiaras in the Swedish collection.
Solliden, Gotland, and Öland, Summer 2024
Although no passport was need, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel and their two children, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar, travelled extensively in Sweden over the summer.
The family shared several photos on social media on their travels as they hiked, foraged for summer berries, and visited different historical sites.
Paris, September 2024
Crown Princess Victoria was joined by Princess Estelle and Queen Silvia in Paris in September for a visit to the Paralympic Games. The three generations of royals took in the Para-Equestrian competition, as well as others.
The Crown Princess of Sweden also pulled the ultimate mum moment and grabbed a few selfies with Princess Estelle while supporting the national team.
Germany, October 2024
In October, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel joined Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway and King Frederik and Queen Mary of Norway in Berlin to officially mark the 25th anniversary of the Pan Nordic Complex.
Not only was Crown Princess Victoria happy to see her fellow Scandinavian royals, she embraced an autumnal palette for the trip with a berry coloured skirt suit for the day, and a deep burgundy velvet gown for the evening.
