This year, the royal Christmas lunch will be for 45 guests and although names haven’t been confirmed, the number means there’s plenty of scope for chat about who might be taking turkey at Sandringham for the holidays.

The King, The Queen and the Prince and Princess of Wales are definites along with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. It’s also likely that the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh will be there along with their children, Lady Louise and James, Earl of Wessex.

In 2023, Sarah, Duchess of York was part of the royal group walking to church on Christmas morning with every expectation that will become a regular occurrence in the reign of Charles III.

Queen Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles, has also said he is more than likely to be at Sandringham for Christmas after his mother said she was very keen to spend the festive season with him.
