Simpson took a hiatus from music for a few years and now has officially announced her return in a recent post. She took to Instagram to share a series of images, wherein she can be seen sporting a white one-piece and black fur coat paired with long black boots.

She captioned the carousel post as, “Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic.” However, what caught fans’ attention was the next sentence which seemingly gave a subtle hint about her alleged split from her husband Johnson. It further read, “This comeback is personal, it's an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve.”

Fans immediately took to her comment section to wish her luck for her upcoming music venture. However, some eagle-eyed fans began wondering if her post is in fact hinting at her marriage reaching an end and her being single. Nonetheless, these are fans’ speculations and Simpson hasn’t given a word on her rumored split yet.

Reportedly, Johnson and Simpson’s paths crossed for the first time in 2010 through a mutual friend. They connected at a party and began seeing each other. After being together for a while, the couple decided to get engaged. They were blessed with their first baby in July 2012. Two years later, in July 2014, the couple exchanged vows at San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California in an intimate ceremony.
