The pair reportedly dated for a year before separating in 2024, though neither publicly addressed the breakup. Fans speculate Carpenter’s TikTok reposts might offer a shade at the Irish actor who will appear in the Beatles’ biopic.

Sabrina Carpenter reposted a TikTok edit of “Busy Woman,” where a fan captioned the clip, saying, “When I had to convince myself he was attractive, but he ended up breaking up with ME.” The suggestive caption and the “Espresso” crooner’s repost prompted fans to come up with theories. (via TMZ)
Many TikTok users in the comment section of the video agreed that the repost could be a subtle dig at Keoghan. The discourse regarding Keoghan and his visuals is not new for pop culture enthusiasts. Earlier, fans had also “discussed” the possibilities of Keoghan’s plastic surgery, as there are hardly any images of his younger self.
Additionally, a Daily Mail report quoted a cosmetic treatment expert who claimed that Keoghan might have undergone some treatments to smooth out wrinkle lines and more. Dr. Yuksel, who boasts over 30 years of experience, told Daily Mail, “Looking at Barry's face when he was younger, there seemed to be hints of fine lines around the outer corners of his eyes, but looking at it now, everything is smoothed out, which makes me think he had Botox for crow's feet.”
Meanwhile, Keoghan and Carpenter were first rumored to be dating in December 2023. At that time, Carpenter had allegedly broken up with pop star Shawn Mendes. Similarly, Keoghan was also single, as his relationship with Alyson Sandro had ended around the same time. Keoghan shares a son, Brando, with Sandro.
In the early months of 2024, Carpenter and Keoghan were spotted together on multiple occasions. The duo attended W Magazine's star-studded Grammy after-party together on February 4. Days later, they also attended the Oscars after-party as a pair.
Keoghan also appeared in Carpenter’s "Please Please Please" music video. Carpenter was over the moon about the perfect casting for her music video. She told CBS in an interview, "I, genuinely—like, a not-even-biased opinion—I was like, 'Who's the greatest actor that I can find for this music video?' And he was next to me, in a chair.” She added, “And he was so excited about it."
