Barry Diller is exploring a bid to take control of Paramount, the parent company of CBS, MTV and Nickelodeon, the New York Times reported on Monday.

Diller’s company IAC has just signed nondisclosure agreements with National Amusements, Paramount's controlling shareholder, sources told the Times.

The agreements were signed after the deal with Skydance buy the historic Hollywood studio and its many media companies fell through in June, the paper reports.

Paramount stock is up 3% after hours.

IAC declined to comment to TheWrap.
