Campbell, who first starred as Sidney in 1996's Scream, notably appeared in all of the film's sequels except for the 2023 entry, due to a contractual disagreement. She announced in March that she would be returning to the franchise in the forthcoming Scream 7.
"I've lived with Sidney for 30 years, and I'm really, really grateful to get to go back to it," the former Party of Fiveactress told PEOPLE in May.
And when she was approached for Scream 7, Campbell said the tone of the negotiations was completely different than before.
"I'm really grateful that the studio heard me when I talked about pay discrepancy and when I talked about [Scream VI negotiations] not feeling respectful," she said at the time.
