Selena Gomez; Taylor SwiftDid Selena Gomez reference a Taylor Swift song on her new album? Fans think so.
On Friday, March 21, Gomez, 32, and her fiancé Benny Blanco released their album I Said I Love You First. The song "Younger and Hotter Than Me" seems to reference a song of Swift's that fans may know all too well.
In the chorus of "Younger and Hotter Than Me," Gomez sings, "We're not gettin' any younger/But your girlfriends seem to."
"Is she younger and hotter than me?/Is it all in my head?/Should have moved on instead," she sings at another point.
The lyric is similar to part of "All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version)," where she sings in the long version of the song, "And I was never good at tellin' jokes, but the punch line goes/'I'll get older, but your lovers stay my age.' "

Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift in Beverly Hills in January 2024Fans immediately noticed the lyrical similarities between the musicians — who happen to be longtime friends since at least 2008.
"woah. the subject matter of this song is reminiscent of all too well a bit, especially with the 'we're not getting any younger, but your girlfriends seem to' line. sonically it's perfect for selena's voice as well," one fan wrote on X, breaking down each song.
"younger and hotter than me by Selena reminds me of All Too Well (10 Min Version) by Taylor," another said. A third fan shared a video of the "All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version) music video with "Younger and Hotter Than Me" playing over it.
Someone else posted a screenshot of the two songs' lyrics, showing the similar sentiment of being younger is better.
