Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow and his fiancée, Meghan Murphy, might have one of the best love stories in baseball.

Glasnow — who began his MLB career with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2016 before being traded to the Tampa Bay Rays two years later — made headlines when he joined the Dodgers in late 2023. But while Glasnow's fastball has fans talking, his game off the mound is just as impressive.

While rehabbing an injury in 2021, he attended a game in Tampa, Fla., where he noticed Murphy and he asked the team photographer to zoom in on her with his camera. "She was sitting in the front few rows, and I was like, 'She kind of looks cute,' " Glasnow recalled on the podcast On Base with Mookie Betts in May 2024.

With that, he wrote his number on a ball and gave it to a batboy to hand to Murphy, but the response wasn't immediate.

"She didn't text me or anything," he continued. "Then she came back the next day, wrote her number on a ball, and came up behind the dugout and threw it at me. She was like, 'You text me. I'm not going to text you.' And I was like, 'Oh, that's kind of nice.' "

Since then, Murphy has been spotted supporting Glasnow at Dodgers games and sharing his passion for travel. Most recently, Glasnow revealed that he and Murphy got engaged in August 2024 and are set to marry in November 2025.

So who is Tyler Glasnow's fiancée? Here's everything to know about Meghan Murphy and her relationship with the MLB star.

She works in the health industry

Murphy graduated from the University of Florida in April 2017 with a bachelor's degree in health, according to her LinkedIn. Three years later, she earned a Master of Medical Science in physician assistant studies from Nova Southeastern University.

In addition, Murphy holds licenses and certifications from the Florida Health and National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

She currently works as a physician assistant and aesthetic injector "specializing in injectables, threads and lasers" at Marcadis Watt Plastic Surgery & Med Spa.

They met at a game

Glasnow and Murphy had the ultimate meet cute in 2021. The then-Rays pitcher was going through his rehab routine during a game in Tampa when Murphy caught his eye.

"I saw a girl who was kind of cute, so I had our team photographer zoom in on her — this just sounds very weird — but she was wholesome, with a girl-next-door look," Glasnow told the Los Angeles Times in May 2024.

He continued, "So I wrote my phone number on a ball, threw it to her and told her to text me. She came to the next game, threw me a ball with her number and told me to text her."

At first, he didn't expect much from the interaction. Still, when they went to dinner for the first time, he was "sold" after seeing her genuinely enjoy the food.

"We ordered an appetizer, and she just went in there — she didn't care at all. She had no hesitation," Glasnow said On Base, adding that their date felt natural.

That first impression quickly turned into something more.

"I didn't think anything would come of it, but then I met her, and she was awesome," he elaborated to L.A. Times. "She has a really good personality, loves to travel and is really fun, so it's super easy. That was the first time I've ever thrown a ball to someone [with my phone number on it], too. And I still don't think she believes me."

She and Tyler enjoy traveling

It didn't take long for Murphy to find out that keeping up with Glasnow meant embracing a love for travel — because, for him, it's a way of life.

Every offseason for the past decade, he's made it a priority to take at least one, sometimes two, big trips. Over the years, Glasnow has explored destinations like Greece, Paris, Copenhagen, Prague, Amsterdam, Thailand and Indonesia, with Mexico becoming a frequent getaway.

Since getting together, he and Murphy have added some unforgettable experiences to their shared travel log. In South Africa, they had a front-row seat to elephants, lions, tigers and zebras roaming freely in the wild.

Murphy proved her adventurous spirit in Zimbabwe, taking on the gorge swing — a 70-meter free fall over the Zambezi River at Victoria Falls. Their travels have also taken them to Peru, where they hiked to the breathtaking ruins of Machu Picchu, the ancient Incan citadel towering nearly 8,000 feet above sea level.

"There's a mystical weirdness about the place that is so cool," Glasnow told the L.A. about the landmark. "And the history element of it is cool. Just seeing it was pretty insane, and the tour guide we had was so good."

Now, Glasnow is getting to combine his love of baseball and travel for the 2025 MLB World Tour: Tokyo Series, where the Dodgers are facing off against the Chicago Cubs.

She threw out the first pitch at Dodger Stadium

In June 2024, Murphy joined Glasnow's parents, Donna and Greg, to celebrate the pitcher's bobblehead day at Dodger Stadium — and as part of the festivities, the physician's assistant was tapped to throw out the first pitch.

Murphy threw from the mound to the open mitt of Glasnow, and she even mimicked his wind-up.

She subtly announced her engagement to Tyler

In October 2024, Murphy was a fixture during the Dodgers' run to the 2024 World Series title. When they captured the National League championship against the New York Mets, the pair exchanged a hug and kiss.

A week later, Murphy ran into the field to congratulate Glasnow after the Dodgers beat the New York Yankees to end the series. During their emotional embrace, she flashed an engagement ring, which was captured on video and photos.

Murphy also got a chance to hold the coveted World Series trophy and joined Glasnow on the float at the team's celebratory parade — where her sparkler also shone at both events.

Fast forward, Glasnow formally announced their engagement during an appearance on The Chris Rose Rotation podcast on March 10. While speaking to the host, the baseball pro clarified that Murphy had a different title.

"She's my fiancée now," he said. "That happened in August last year, and then we'll get married in November coming up. Lots of stuff going on."

The athlete then opened up a bit about the proposal and hinted at children down the line.

"I was super nervous when I did it, but it was super fun. I'm glad we did it," Glasnow continued. "Now we're just planning it all. In the future, you got the wedding and then life and then kids and all that stuff."

She has a great sense of humor

In May 2024, Murphy accompanied Glasnow to the annual Blue Diamond Gala, which raises funds for the Dodgers Foundation.

After fans spotted them at the event together, some mistakenly thought Murphy was Glasnow's sister instead of his then-girlfriend.

The lighthearted mix-up quickly gained traction, and Murphy joined in on the joke about their resemblance.

"Low key we kind of do have the same head," Murphy quipped in her Instagram Stories.

She made another reference to the humorous commentary in a caption on an Instagram post featuring her and Glasnow at the event.

"Blue Diamond Gala with my sister,💙," Murphy wrote.
