KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV almost CHOKED OUT his cousin while watching their relative Usman in action.
Nurmagomedov retired as one of the greatest UFC fighters of all time but he continues to coach and mentor his family.
That includes Abubakar, Umar and Usman, who defended his Bellator lightweight title against Alexander Shabliy.
Nurmagomedov and Umar were in the corner for Usman’s championship defence against Shabliy in San Diego.
The Dagastani champion won on points but cousin Nurmagomedov’s reaction in round four stole the show.
Usman locked in a submission and Nurmagomedov let emotions get the better of him as he hilariously grabbed Umar around the neck in anticipation.
Eventually, Usman, 26, was taken the distance to improve to 18-0 in the cage.
He said: "This guy is so tough. Alexandr Shabily is I think one of the best lightweights right now in the world, it was a very tough fight for me – all the respect to him and his team, thank you."
Nurmagomedov, 35, retired in 2020 one fight after his father and trainer Abdulmanap tragically passed away.
He left the sport unbeaten at 29-0 with a famous win over arch rival Conor McGregor, 36.

Nurmagomedov now trains fighters and backed Usman as one of the world’s best at 155lb alongside his protege Islam Makhachev.
He said: "I think Usman is right now one of the best lightweights in the world.
"I was before, now it's our brother Islam and Usman is next – this is dynasty."
