Ty Pennington is celebrating 60 — which he's already rebranding as "sexty."

The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition alum marked his latest milestone birthday, and a new decade, on Instagram this week by sharing a steamy shirtless photo taken by his wife, Kellee Merrell.

As Pennington said in the post's caption, written on Friday, Oct. 19, he is "thirst trapping all the way into 60 because why not."

"A follower did tell me recently that I don't have much time left 😳," the star added. "So consider this my official petition to rebrand 60 to… #sexty 😂."

"No but seriously, feeling incredibly grateful and excited for what this next year (and decade) will bring 👴🏻🙏🏼," Pennington wrapped his caption, alongside the timely hashtags "#SeniorDiscount," "#ThisIsSixty," "#AgingIsAGift," "#TyTurnsSixty" and "#BlueSteel."

In the photo, the HGTV star could be seen lying on a bed without a shirt on as he put his arm over his head while wearing a pair of necklaces.

Plenty of pals supported Pennington's latest snap in the comments section, including Love It or List It star Hilary Farr. "At a certain point - we all look best lying on our back 😝 but sexy is timeless. 🥳," she wrote.

Pennington, who wed Merrell in November 2021, has been celebrating life recently. Back in March, eight months after revealing that he developed an abscess that required surgery, he said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that he was doing "great."

"You know what's great is if you almost die, you get so much attention," Pennington said at the time. "It feels so nice to be that loved."

"I'm planning another one... No, I'm kidding!," he then joked.

In July 2023, Pennington initially revealed via Instagram that he was hospitalized in the ICU after he "could barely breathe" following "an abscess which had grown so large it was closing off my airway."

After his surgery, the TV star was released from the hospital a day later. Speaking with ET, Pennington said the experience gave him a new perspective on how limited one's time can really be.

"I mean that's why the 60's is gonna be like time to start doing everything and that's what I love about being part of these projects because I think we all want to make sure we've done things to be remembered," Pennington explained.

Pennington also posted a powerful message with fans about the fragility of life earlier this month on Instagram, following the devastation caused by Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Helene.

"The last couple weeks have been a stark reminder of just how fragile life really is 😔," he wrote. "First hurricane Helene and now Milton. Holding my loved ones extra close and praying that Milton will go easy on all of us. If you can get out, please do. Sending love to everyone 🙏🏼💔❤️."
