MARRIED At First Sight stars Paul C Brunson and Caspar Todd have claimed key scenes from the reality show have been left on the cutting room floor.

Viewers have been screaming at their screens during recent commitment ceremonies, often accusing the show experts of not intervening or calling out certain behaviours.

Paul previously revealed the experts are only privy to what happens at dinner parties and, as such, don’t have access to the full picture.

Bride Polly Sellman came under fire last week for making a V sign behind Hannah Norburn’s back and refusing to acknowledge her amid relationship drama on the show.

After receiving criticism last night for ‘not referencing it’, Paul shot back on Twitter, writing: “Some of these comments are wild! Please remember, the show has been carefully edited over several months. What you're seeing is just 6 minutes of a couple's session, which could have lasted over 60 minutes.

“Just because something isn't shown doesn't mean it didn't happen. For instance, I did call Polly out tonight, but it wasn't included in the final edit. Production can't show everything. Let's keep that in mind and relax."

It’s a similar issue for the brides and grooms themselves, who feel they’re sometimes portrayed a certain way to ramp up the entertainment factor.

A devastated Caspar took to social media last night to lament the loss of his closest allies in the experiment.

Last night the show said goodbye to both Richelle Cade and Orson Nurse and Hannah Norburn and Stephen Nolson.

Last week saw Stephen try to crack on with Sionainn Carmichael, which sparked a huge row with Ryan Livesey.

Hannah meanwhile has been at the centre of a whole host of drama ever since joining the dating show, including a secret affair with groom Orson.

Besides getting into blazing rows with her husband Stephen, Hannah has also gotten on the wrong side of a few female co-stars for ‘flirting’ with their husbands.

Things got even more awkward during tonight's episode when Lacey Martin revealed that Orson and Hannah had shared a kiss.

The drama was explosive and sad to watch for Caspar, who insisted his close friend Stephen had been portrayed in a negative light during the experiment.

Caspar said: “I lost three of my closest friends in the experiment tonight and I just want to say that I miss them all. They were such great supports; Richelle, Orson, Steven and even Hannah at times, when she needed someone I was there for her, and that was a hard watch for me because I really, really do care about everyone on that show.

“It was a really tight knit bunch of people but that was the worst of us tonight. It was really sad to see.”

He explained how Stephen had become one of his best friends away from the show, praising his character.

“I think he’s had a really tough edit,” Caspar continued: “It hasn’t shown him as a person at all. Even then he can stay calm under all that pressure. It’s incredible to watch. Just remember, it’s an edit that we watch here.”

Before restricting comments on his video upload, Caspar also replied to a viewer comment saying that Orson ‘didn’t deserve that much venom’ from Richelle after she showered him with a barrage of insults.

He replied: “edits is all I can say now.”

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: "I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come."

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: "I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

"The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, 'Wouldn't it be funny if I signed up?'

"A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history."

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
