Trolls say my revealing birthday outfit is for 'younger girls' – yes I'm old, but crop tops are for any age

A MUM has defended her outfit choices after being told she’s “too old” to wear a revealing dress.

Glamorous Lynne Cavanagh, 45, has three kids and is often mistaken for someone much younger than her age.

She loves fashion and regularly shares clips of the figure-hugging outfits she picks up.

In a recent TikTok post (@lynnelxx), Lynne revealed she was trying to decide on an outfit for her birthday weekend.

And she fell in love with a black cut-out bodycon dress that exposed her midriff, which she paired with knee-high heeled boots.

She said: “It sits just underneath your boobs. I wanted something with long sleeves. I love this.”

But she also sighed: “I’m not too sure if I’m too old for it.”

Social media users were quick to reassure her that the outfit was perfect, as one insisted: “Never too old, you have a fab figure. If you’ve got it, flaunt it.”

A second echoed: “You got the figure to wear anything beautiful.”

Meanwhile, a third chimed in: “Definitely not too old Lynne you look FAF [fit as f***].”

Others, however, were less complimentary – and claimed that the dress wasn’t appropriate for a 45-year-old.

One hater sneered: “About 30yrs too old for that.”

A second said: “It is more for younger girls. Not saying you’re old, you’re beautiful and have an amazing figure.”

And a third wrote: “Too old for it.”

But mum-of-three Lynne immediately hit back: “I am old but I think fashion is for any age as long as you rock it.

“Some people are big on age stuff, that doesn't bother me.”

Lynne earlier revealed the “sad” part of her body that she feels insecure about – and it forces her to be creative on holidays.

She said: "I love going on holiday and I love a tan but my lips are all chapped and my knees look miserable.

"They look even more miserable with a tan.

"Women, the older we get, everything goes south. So we end up with sad knees.

"That bit of skin above your knee that curves around your knee and it just looks like a constant miserable face.

"Well it's got a tan and it's more tanned than my actual knee.

"So I need to sit with my legs bent for my skin to look nice."
