TRACY Beaker fans have been able to enjoy a trip down memory lane after the cast of the noughties kids show reunited.

The hit CBBC series followed the life of Tracy, a 10-year-old girl who lived in a children’s care home nicknamed The Dumping Ground.

The Story Of Tracy Beaker, which starred Dani Harmer as Tracy, ran for four years and and finished with the lead character getting adopted.

Now, eighteen years since the main show went off air, three of the stars have reunited at a fan event in Wales.

Dani, now 35, was joined by her co-star Ciaran Joyce – who played lovable Lol Plakova – at Cardiff Comic Con.

Lol lived in the Dumping Ground for several years with his older brother Bouncer.

Dani and Ciaran also caught up with Nisha Nayar, best known to fans as Elaine ‘The Pain’ Boyak, a long-serving social worker.

The trio posed for several snaps together backstage at the event, which Nisha has since shared on Instagram.

Nisha captioned the shots: “Fun times cont… with @missdanijharmer at Cardiff Comic Con! Fab catching up with @ciaran_joyce.”

Fans have been quick to comment, with one replying: “Never thought Elaine the pain and tracy beaker would be doing this!”

Another added: “Ah my childhood was Tracy Beaker.”

And several chimed in with a phrase used frequently in the noughties kids show: “Bog off Elaine!” they wrote.

Following the success of The Story Of Tracy Beaker, which was adapted from Jacquline Wilson’s 1991 book, fans were treated to several spin offs.

Tracy Beaker Returns aired from 2010 to 2012, again with Dani at the helm as Tracy. She also starred in the 2004 feature length film Tracy Beaker: The Movie Of Me.

The Dumping Ground, meanwhile, aired fro 2013 to 2018 on CBBC but it did not feature Dani, Ciaran or Elaine.

Now a mum-of-two, Dani has continued to expand the Tracy Beaker universe.

She returned to play her iconic character in the mini series My Mum Tracy Beaker in 2021, which introduced her TV daughter Jess (Emma Maggie Davis) to fans.

The pair then teamed up for three series’ of The Beaker Girls, another spin-off about the mother and daughter duo enjoying their new life by the seaside.

Nisha also returned to the franchise for a guest appearance in The Beaker Girls in 2023.

Meanwhile, Cardiff Comic Con was the second Tracy Beaker reunion Dani has enjoyed in recent weeks.

Last month, Dani caught up with Chris Slater, who played another Dumping Ground kid called Frank Matthews.
