Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas have been spending time together lately, but not romantically, a source tells PEOPLE.

The two actors, who were most recently seen arriving together at the London Heliport via helicopter on the evening of Friday, March 14, are not dating but instead teaming up on an upcoming project, says the insider.

Cruise, 62, and de Armas, 36, were joined by director Doug Liman, the source adds, though the name of the project they are working on was not specified.

One month before their sighting at the London Heliport, Cruise and de Armas were photographed together in London during a night out on Feb. 13. At the time, a source told PEOPLE they were at dinner with their agents "discussing potential collaborations down the line," noting that the pair "appeared to have no romantic connection, just friends."

Cruise next stars in Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, set to hit theaters May 23, and de Armas' Ballerina, a continuation of the John Wick franchise, is out June 6.

Additionally, details have emerged surrounding Cruise's involvement in Alejandro González Iñárritu's upcoming unnamed 2026 film, his first English-language project since The Revenant. The film will reportedly follow "the most powerful man in the world" as he "embarks on a frantic mission to prove he is humanity's savior before the disaster he's unleashed destroys everything."

Cruise, nearly five years ago, teased that he and Liman would be teaming up for an ambitious astronaut movie that would see the actor film scenes in outer space, with the cooperation of NASA and SpaceX. Cruise and Liman previously teamed up on the 2014 alien-fighting movie Edge of Tomorrow as well as 2017's American Made.

Two years after that reveal, Universal Pictures executive Donna Langley confirmed the movie's production during an interview with BBC News

"I think Tom Cruise is taking us to space. He's taking the world to space," she said at the time. "That's the plan. We have a great project in development with Tom that does contemplate him doing just that, taking a rocket up to the Space Station and shooting and hopefully being the first civilian to do a space walk outside of the Space Station."

In 2023, Cruise doubled down to Variety that the project, which remains unnamed, was still in the works. "We've been working on it diligently," he teased at the time. "We'll see where we go."
