TikTok Star Arrested in Case of Therapist Whose Body Was Found Wrapped in Tarp on Roadside

A TikTok star who has nearly 4 million followers online has been arrested in connection with the case of a Louisiana therapist whose body was found wrapped in a tarp on the side of the road.

Terryon Thomas, 20, was booked into the Dallas County Jail in Texas on Oct. 1, online jail records show. According to his booking record, he faces charges out of Baton Rouge, La., including unauthorized use of a vehicle, aggravated criminal damage to property and resisting arrest. He was being held without bond.

According to reporting by WDSU, Fox 8, and an arrest warrant obtained by USAToday, Thomas was arrested after police claimed he was found driving 69-year-old William Nicholas Abraham's vehicle and tried to flee during a traffic stop.

WBRZ-TV reported that Baton Rouge police confirmed Thomas is the same person who goes by the name "Mr. Prada 456" on TikTok. The account has 3.9 million followers and his most recent video was posted around Sept. 29.

Abraham's body was found by a passerby inside a trap rolled up on the side of a highway on Sept. 29, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office previously said. The sheriff's office said Abraham's death was a homicide caused by blunt force trauma. 

Police previously released images taken from a store's surveillance camera of an individual believed by authorities to have been the last person driving Abraham's vehicle. The person of interest wasn't named at the time but police later allegedly identified Thomas from a lineup as the driver, USA Today reported, citing the warrant.

According to his website, Abraham was a life coach and licensed professional counselor and went by the moniker Dr. Nick. Authorities have not specified whether Thomas and Abraham knew each other. 

It's unclear if Thomas has entered a plea to the charges or retained an attorney to speak on his behalf. As of Wednesday, Oct. 2, Thomas is not facing charges related to Abraham's killing.

A spokesperson for the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office confirmed to PEOPLE on Oct. 2 that Abraham's homicide case is now being handled by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office. PEOPLE reached out to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office for additional comment but did not immediately hear back in time for publication.
