The Rockford Peaches are back!
On Sunday, Nov. 24, the stars of A League of Their Own, including Geena Davis, Lori Petty and Rosie O'Donnell, reunited at Chicago's Donald Stephens Convention Center for the Chicago Sports Spectacular, where they signed memorabilia and snapped photos with fans of the 1992 film.
Davis and Petty starred as sisters Dottie Hinson and Kit Keller in the beloved Penny Marshall-directed sports comedy about the real-life All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, with O'Donnell in a supporting role as third base player Doris Murphy.

Also on hand for the Chicago event: Bitty Schram (right fielder Evelyn Gardner), Megan Cavanagh (second basewoman Marla Hooch), Tracy Reiner (left fielder Betty "Spaghetti" Horn), Anne Ramsay (first basewoman Helen Haley), Freddie Simpson (shortstop and former beauty queen Ellen Sue Gotlander), Patti Pelton (second basewoman Marbleann Wilkinson), Connie Pounds-Taylor (outfielder Connie Calhoun) and Kelli Simpkins (outfielder Beverly Dixon). Ellie Weingardt, who appeared briefly in A League of Their Own as the charm school instructor tasked with molding the film's ballplayers to fit rigid 1940 gender norms, appeared alongside the cast as well.
On Monday, Nov. 25, O'Donnell posted a photo of the cast together at the Chicago Sports Spectacular on Instagram, with herself, Davis and Petty holding court in the center of the group.
"the rockford peaches 2024" she wrote in the post's caption, along with a peach emoji and the hashtag #leagueoftheirown.
Notably absent from the heartwarming reunion were Tom Hanks, who played Peaches coach and down-on-his-luck former Cubs player Jimmy Dugan, and Madonna, who played taxi dancer turned center fielder "All the Way" Mae Mordabito.

Chicago was the perfect place for the cast to reunite, as both the film's Peaches and the real-life team they were based on represented Rockford, Ill., in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League from 1943 to 1954.

O'Donnell, who also appeared in Prime Video's 2022 series based on the film, recently revealed that in addition to longtime friend Madonna, she's also kept in touch with another A League of Their Own star: former child actor Justin Scheller. In the film, Scheller played Schram's character's bratty 5-year-old son Stillwell "Angel."
"I was good friends with him and his mother on the set," O'Donnell, 62, told Busy Philipps on her QVC+ and HSN+ chat show, Busy This Week, adding that she even helped Marshall coach the young actor through certain scenes.
