Ree Drummond Says She Didn't Think She Was Ready for Her 'Grandma Era' — But Reveals Why She's 'Loving It'

Ree Drummond and her granddaughter Sofia MarieRee Drummond is one proud grandmother!
The Food Network star, 56, shared an adorable clip on Instagram on Sunday, March 23, giving fans a glimpse into what life has been like since her daughter, Alex Drummond Scott, 27, welcomed her first child, Sofia Marie, with her husband Mauricio Scott on Dec. 18, 2024.
In the video, baby Sofia can be seen giggling in her bouncer as Ree sings, plays and tickles her, as well as kissing the happy infant, who looks cute in a floral sleeper.
"When your firstborn has a baby that looks exactly like she looked, you get to relive all the delicious feelings of first-time motherhood, but without the sleep deprivation, hormones, and confusion," the celebrity chef captioned the video, which was set to Glimz's song "Grateful Soul."
"I didn't think I was ready yet to cross over to the granny side of the street, but Lord in Heaven… I am loving it and I'm so grateful for this gift," the Pioneer Woman star continued.

Ree has been sharing multiple clips and pictures since she became a grandmother, posting more photos with baby Sofia on Instagram over the weekend.
One pic showed Ree proudly holding her granddaughter while standing in front of a circular mirror. She then posed for a different shot while cuddling the infant, who wore a pink sleeper in both snaps, on a sofa.

The first photo in the carousel of images showed her taking Sofia out for a walk in her pram, accompanied by one of the family's many fur babies; Alex and Mauricio's Golden Retriever.
"In my grandma era 💃," she captioned the post.

Ree has been spending lots of quality time with Sofia since her daughter Alex announced the little one had arrived a couple of weeks early in December, just in time for Christmas.
The new mom shared the exciting news on Instagram at the time, alongside a gallery of black and white photos of the couple with the tiny newborn.
"At 2:27 a.m. [local time] our perfect girl made her arrival a couple weeks early, just in time for Christmas! We are so in love and forever changed," the pair's caption read. "Thank you Lord."
Ree then wrote on her Pioneer Woman website, "I'm saying that with as much objectivity as I can. But I'm not kidding... she is perfect. Like, if you looked up 'perfect' in Merriam-Webster, it would reference Sofia Scott, and maybe even show a photo of her. Although that would probably technically be an encyclopedia."
