Rachel Bilson Reveals She's Planning to Celebrate "The O.C."'s 'Chrismukkah' with 9-Year-Old Daughter Briar (Exclusive)

Rachel BilsonRachel Bilson is introducing her daughter to a very special holiday.
While chatting with PEOPLE, The O.C. alum, 43, revealed that she may celebrate Chrismukkah for the first time this year alongside her daughter Briar Rose, 9, whom she shares with ex Hayden Christensen.
The holiday Chrismukkah was first introduced by Adam Brody's Seth Cohen on The O.C. in 2003. The hybrid name is a combination of both Christmas and Hanukkah and was created as a way to enjoy the best of both holidays.
"I like teaching my daughter some of the Jewish traditions and things like that, but Chrismukkah itself is like its own holiday we haven't really done," the actress tells PEOPLE. "But it sounds like this year might be the first."

Rachel Bilson and Adam BrodyBilson also admits that she has a hard time remembering the filming of her Chrismukkah scenes until looking at photos from the show.
"You know what's funny? I can remember if there's stills or pictures from those episodes that I've seen," she says. "I can go back visually and see it."
There is one scene in particular that Bilson does recall, where "Adam and I on the steps with the 'yamaclaus,' that comes to mind," she shares. "I also had to rewatch the show for a podcast, so I saw it again. But already, that was like two years ago, and I'm like, I don't remember."

Rachel BilsonOn an August episode of her podcast Broad Ideas with Rachel Bilson & Olivia Allen, shared that Briar is different from other children because she doesn't throws fits.
"Bry's definitely a different kid than I was," Bilson said on the podcast. "Like, 100%."
"I almost feel weird talking about it with other parents because she doesn't throw fits," she continued. "It's just...it's not how she is. So if there's ever a time where she's off or gets, kind of upset about something, it totally disregulates me."
Asked why she feels weird talking about it, Bilson admitted it almost feels like bragging. "I just mean it sounds like, 'Oh my kid doesn't throw fits,' you know, but I'm like, no. It's actually the truth."
