Angelica Ross is making her Broadway debut next month and it will be historic! The 41-year-old actress, best known for her work in Ryan Murphy‘s shows Pose and American Horror Story, will play the iconic role of Roxie Hart in Chicago. Angelica will be the first trans actress to play the role on Broadway and she’s one of the first known trans actresses to play a leading role in a Broadway musical. Angelica will make her debut in Chicago on September 12 and she will play a limited engagement through November 6. “This day is full of mixed feelings for me! I want to celebrate being on Broadway, but I don’t feel like celebrating with #BrittneyGriner sentenced to 9 years in prison. This world is messed up. She doesn’t deserve this,” Angelica tweeted.
