The Pomona Police Department shared in an update on social media on Wednesday, Nov. 20 regarding the search for Augustin and Sanchez, writing, "Although their cases were reported separately, it is believed they are together."
Police said they were spotted together in Pomona, Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley. However, it was unclear if the pair were still in the area.
The department did not release any other information on the circumstances leading up to their disappearance, but noted to KTLA that their family members did not have any contact with the teens since they were reported missing and that they were very concerned for their well-being.
In response to the department's social media post, several members of the California community commented that they shared the post and were "praying" the pair "are found safe."
