Following the success of the original UK version, The Traitors has rapidly expanded, with international versions captivating audiences across the globe.

Now fans in the UK will get the chance to dive into the New Zealand edition – which publication Super TV have deemed “the best” of them all.

The release is set for the end of September, but a specific date has not been fixed yet.

Fans of the series have expressed their excitement for the ability to watch a new season.

Taking to social media, one person exclaimed: “Amazing news, that made my day!”

Another gushed: “The first series is good. The second is sublime.”

A third person shared some information about the New Zealand spin-off, saying: “NZS1 is good because it has different challenges than the UK/U.S. versions as they’re filmed in the same place.

“NZ also has a few celebrities in the cast mixed with regular people.”

This news comes after a former Traitors finalist shared his thoughts on what twist he thinks BBC bosses need to add to the reality show to keep audiences entertained.

Jaz Singh told the Sun: “I genuinely feel as though they should introduce a new character to the show.

“I think, the beauty about the game is that it can always be mixed up, it can always change it up.

“And yet, you know what to expect in the premise of the game.”
