THE handsome son of these all-singing all-dancing Hollywood stars has walked the red carpet – but can you work out who his famous parents are?
The two Broadway actors met on the 1996 production of Broadway’s Rent, fell in love and got married in 2003.
They later reprised their roles for the 2005 film adaptation of the musical.
Walker is the 15-year-old son of Frozen singer Idina Menzel and Best Man actor Taye Diggs.
The All American actor and the Elsa star share their son, Walker Nathanial Diggs, who was born in September 2009 – but they split in 2013.
Idina, who played the part of Elpheba in Broadway’s original show, walked the Wicked premiere red carpet together with her son.
The amicable co-parents speak highly of each other. In a 2021 interview with Drew Barrymore, Private Practice star Diggs praised his ‘baby mama’ and how ‘lucky’ he is to have her in his life.
He said: “I hate to sound like a broken record, but it’s during these times where I remind myself how lucky I am, how lucky we both are even though the world around us seems to be spinning in all kinds of different directions.”
Speaking about her fame, he gushed: “I love the fact that I was there at the beginning. [Menzel] made history in that show and continues to make history with her singing and what not, and to know that I was right there.
“I love sharing that with my son. Like, ‘Daddy was there, when mummy, when the world first listened to her.’ So that’s cool as well.”
Menzel has since remarried to actor and singer Aaron Lohr, 48, in 2017.
How Stella Got Her Groove Back actor Taye has starred in Broadway musicals including Rent and Hedwig And The Angry Inch.
Edina previously shared how she felt turning 50 – and the sweet words her son had for her.
She told Glamour in 2021: “I am ashamed to say it, but I was having a hard time with it. I think it was subconsciously bothering me more than I let on, in regards to my relevance as a performer and actress.
“I’m feeling like the old lady sometimes, and that’s not who I am,” Menzel said. “I feel very young at heart.”
Sweet son Walker told her: “Mum, don’t look in the mirror and worry about how you look. You’re beautiful.”
