Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka Celebrate Christmas with Twins Harper and Gideon: 'Dog Days of Christmas'

Harris gave fans a look at his family's Christmas Eve dinner on Instagram

Neil Patrick Harris is surrounded by his loved ones this Christmas.

On Wednesday, Dec. 25, the actor, 51, gave a peek into his Christmas Eve and Christmas day celebration with husband David Burtka, 49, and their twins, son Gideon and daughter Harper, 14.

In a sweet series of videos shared to his Instagram Stories, Harris showed off the family of four's dinner, which featured delicious-looking lamb chops, crabs, brussels sprouts, a mushroom tart and cheesy potato dauphinoise.

"This is Christmas Eve dinner," he says in the clip, introducing the video of his dinner. "And this is what it looks like.

"We made this together, Burtka can we heard saying from out of frame, to which Harris adds: "We sure did, with teamwork. Yep, it makes the dreamwork."

The pair's son Gideon jokes that all of the food is quite a lot for their small family.

"There are four of us," Gideon says, to which Harris responds, "And 15 lamb chops, so better get eating!"

In a separate video, Harris films his daughter dancing as she holds a tray of crème brûlée dishes, and the family quickly devolves into laughter.

"Any time we have crème brûlée, you're gonna have to do this," Gideon tells Harper, as both their parents cackle in the background. "I want you to serve the crème brûlée exactly like this"

In the first clip, Harris also takes a moment to wish his social media followers a happy holiday, adding at the end, "Merry Christmas Eve to you and yours, wherever you might be."

In another Instagram post, Harris showed off the family's Christmas day festivities, which included wearing all four of them wearing matching red pajamas, spending time cuddling with their dogs and sitting in front of the fireplace as they sport Santa hats.

"It's the Dog Days of Christmas here at Funhouse Farm..." Harris captioned the heartfelt post, adding the hashtags "#merrychristmas" and "#grateful."

The family of four also recently came together for Thanksgiving. In a photo posted on Instagram, the crew posed alongside each other at The Polo Bar in New York City.

Flashing a smile, Burtka kept his hand in his pocket as he stood beside Gideon, while Harper posed between her brother and Harris.

"Thanksgiving, 2024. So much to be thankful for in our lives: our health, our wisdom, our family. Our community," Harris wrote in his caption. "Our friends, our support systems. Our followers. It's been quite the year, and Thanksgiving allows me time for not only reflection, but appreciation."

The family also debuted their latest epic family Halloween costume last month.

On Oct. 31, the Drag Me to Dinner co-hosts shared a photo of their Halloween costumes with their twins on Instagram, channeling famous pop icons. Harris went as David Bowie, wearing an orange wig and a blue suit from the late singer's music video for his song "Life on Mars."

Burtka dressed as Elvis Presley, wearing black leather pants, a leather shirt and a jet black wig with sideburns, and holding a microphone in the photo. Daughter Harper dressed as Madonna during the '80s, wearing black shorts, a black shirt, a chain around her waist, a cross earring and blonde hair.
