Mickey Rooney Jr, Son of Legendary Screen Actor, Dies at 77

Mickey Rooney Jr. has sadly died at the age of 77. The actor and musician was the first born son of legendary stage and screen actor, Mickey Rooney, and his second wife, songwriter and singer B.J. Baker. His longtime companion Chrissie Brown told The Hollywood Reporter that Mickey Jr passed away over the weekend at his home in Glendale, Arizona. The cause of death is unknown. The outlet adds that Mickey Jr was a former actor who appeared on The Mickey Mouse Club, before he was let go from the program due to mischief (“Conduct unbecoming of a mouse”) in the paint department. He also appeared in 1980′s Honeysuckle Rose and 1984′s Songwriter. Mickey Jrwas also a musician, who played in bands with Willie Nelson. Rest in peace.
