Beetlejuice Light Display

One Michigan couple have let the 'Juice loose in their neighborhood!

Garden City, Mich. residents Kyle and Christina Bostick are known as the family that goes all out for the holidays. Since 2020, the couple has been putting on light displays for holidays including Halloween, Christmas and the 4th of July — and their shows just keep getting bigger. This October, the Bosticks have put together their most impressive display yet: a Beetlejuice light show complete with projections from the 1988 film.

Per Good Morning America, the couple's over-the-top Halloween ode to the Tim Burton film also features lights synced to the movie's soundtrack, which includes the iconic song "Banana Boat (Day-O)" by Harry Belafonte. Visitors can either enjoy the spooky show from their cars, or hop out and dance along to the music as they take in the rest of the sights including light-up pumpkins, a giant skeleton and plenty of fun visual effects.

"My wife and I are huge Beetlejuice fans, and when we heard that the new movie was coming out we got to work," Kyle said in a statement shared with PEOPLE. "I worked with my programming team to create a unique remix featuring all the classic songs!"

In an interview with SWNS, Kyle, 35, and Christine, 36, revealed that they added $30,000 worth of new decorations to their display this year. This is in addition to the $50,000 they have spent in previous years.

New additions to the couple's spooky decor includes a skeleton band, a stage, light beams, a screen that plays custom animations and vertical fog cannons. "The beams we've added in — called moving-head lights — can be seen from miles away," Kyle told the outlet.

For those worried about the couple's neighbors, they only turn on the display on weekends from 7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m., according to GMA. Additionally, they use their displays to raise money for charity. This year, they're focusing on a charity devoted to breast cancer. (October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.)

The Bosticks have been chronicling their decorating journey on YouTube and social media. Their Instagram page reveals that Beetlejuice is just one element of their Halloween show, which also includes nods to Disney and Deadpool & Wolverine.

"🚨We have a major announcement!🚨," the couple posted on Instagram in September. "This year's Halloween show will be weekends only starting October 4th. This will be our LAST home show."

They continued, "With the overwhelming support from the community we have outgrown our home show location. We have been working on a MASSIVE project! We are building metro Detroits only synchronized drive through Christmas Light Show! Located less than 3 miles from our current location. Our Drive through show will allow us to expand and bring holiday magic to even more families."
