Madonna: the Movie may become Madonna: the Series.

On Monday, Nov. 18, the Grammy-winning pop icon, 66, took to Instagram to share the latest news about bringing her life story to the screen — and suggested she may even pivot from film to TV.

"After struggling for days in LA, listening to producers and agents Tell me why I couldn't make my film… I realized that everything in my life is going to be challenged," she wrote underneath a carousel of photos featuring her and friends including designer Willy Chavarria, multimedia artist Jess Cuevas and artist Nadia Lee Cohen. The post was set to her 2003 song "Hollywood."

"No easy rides for me. I guess I should be grateful.. It forces me to think outside the box. I did not have a normal life," the "Like a Prayer" singer continued.

"I cannot make this in the normal way. Spending time with my creative friends was just the fuel I needed to keep going! We all agreed that we need to be even more fearless!!!"

"We cannot shrink and make ourselves smaller. If you want something badly enough in life — the whole universe will conspire to [help] you get it," she added.

Madonna then threw out a question to her 19.8 million followers: "Should I make the story of my life into a series or a feature Film[?] Think before you answer."

The responses seem to be divided, with many calling for a film, while others were eager to see a longer version of her life story in a series.

Madonna's longtime friend Debi Mazarand a character in the movie — even weighed in, suggesting her pal write a memoir: "I think a film or series would be amazing ..but [what] about the book 1st? Then no one can get it wrong?" she wrote in the comments.

In 2020, Universal announced it was developing the film with the megastar and mother of six set to direct as well as co-write with Oscar winner Diablo Cody.

"I want to convey the incredible journey that life has taken me on as an artist, a musician, a dancer — a human being, trying to make her way in this world," Madonna said in a statement at the time.

The next year, Cody departed the project and in 2023, Varietyreported the film would no longer be moving forward at Universal, despite the fact that Julia Garner was attached to star.

Madonna then embarked on her record-breaking Celebration tour, before turning her attention back to the film earlier this year.

In a July 16 Instagram post, Madonna indicated the movie was back on when she posed with a typewriter and the movie's previously untitled screenplay. A new title appeared to be Who's That Girl — a reference to her 1987 film and No. 1 hit.
