A month before the outbreak of multiple, devastating fires throughout greater Los Angeles, Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley warned that recent budget cuts approved by Mayor Karen Bass "severely limited" LAFD's ability to respond to "large scale emergencies.
