Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's oldest son, Saint, celebrated his ninth birthday on Thursday, December 5, and his proud mom let the world know via her Instagram account.

In a heartfelt post, Kardashian, 44, shared a carousel of photos showing her and Saint over the years, including the pair smiling, snuggling and sleeping. The post has nearly 1.5 million likes at the time of publication.

"My birthday boy Saint turns 9 today," the SKIMS founder wrote in the caption. "I was going through my photos and most of our pics are snuggling cuddling pics. I always wanna believe that my little man will be this snuggly forever! So cheers to one of my soulmates for being the sweetest boy. Happy birthday. I love you."

Kardashian, who also shares daughters North, 11, and Chicago, 6, as well as son Psalm, 5, with West, has been open about the challenges and rewards of coparenting postdivorce and raising kids as a single mother. A source told Us Weekly in February that Kardashian and West are "amicable" coparents. Lately, however, she is "pretty much a single mom" with West "not around very much," according to an October report from People.

Kim Kardashian's Greatest Quotes About Motherhood

In December 2022, when media attention around West's antisemitic comments hit a fever pitch, Kardashian revealed on the "Angie Martinez IRL" podcast that she was "hanging on by a thread."

"My kids don't know anything," she said. "I definitely protected [West], and I still will in the eyes of my kids. For my kids. So, in my home, my kids don't know anything that goes on [in] the outside world."

She added in a separate podcast appearance in November 2024 that despite the resources she has at her disposal, raising four kids as a single mom comes with plenty of challenges.

"Sometimes in the middle of the night, when they're all sleeping in your bed kicking you and crying and waking up — it's not something that I talk about a lot because I feel like there is always a lot of judgment," Kardashian said on an episode of the "What the Winkler?" podcast. "Or people always will jump to the, 'Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help.' And I just think that no matter what kind of help I have, I'm basically raising four kids by myself."

Kardashian added that she is much more like a typical mom than people might realize.

"I mean even carpool this morning, I had five kids that I had to take," she said. "And everyone wants to leave at, like, different times or wants different stuff. And I feel like I'm at, like, a pit stop of a race car driver."
