The event was this year boosted by the help of Lady Gabriella Kingston, with Kate offered an advisory role on musical choices.

A post from William and Kate’s Instagram today said: “This service reflects upon the importance of love and empathy, and how much we need each other, especially in the most difficult times of our lives. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this year's celebrations.”

The concert was filmed at Westminster Abbey on December 6 with Kate's husband Prince William, 42, and kids Prince George 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, six, watching from the front row.
