Joe Jonas Sings About Giving a Romantic Partner 'Everything I Had' in Emotional New Alex Warren Collaboration

Alex Warren and Joe JonasJoe Jonas is burning down this time around.
On Friday, Dec. 6, the "Burnin' Up" singer collaborated with Alex Warren for a new version of the latter's song "Burning Down" which dropped as a single in September from his debut album You'll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter 1).
In the second verse of the song, Jonas, 35, and Warren, 24, sing about making sacrifices for a romantic partner. "Oh, was it all a game?/Look what our lovе became/I gave you everything I had," they sing.
The chorus is especially emotional, evoking the imagery of a house burning down. "Said I'm the one who's wanted/For all the fires you started/You knew the house was burning down/I had to get out," Jonas and Warren harmonized.
"I'm excited to be collaborating on a newer rendition of 'Burning Down' with Alex. His voice and songwriting are incredible. It's been exciting to watch such a talented artist grow and come into his own," Jonas said of Warren in a press release.
"'Burning Down' was already such a powerhouse song, so when he asked me to be a part of this version, I was honored. We had so much fun in the studio together and I hope that comes across when people hear it."

"It's surreal that someone I grew up admiring connected with my music so deeply that they wanted to collaborate on a new take on the song," Warren said of Jonas in a press release.
"Working with Joe has been amazing—not only because he's incredibly talented and added a whole new layer to the record but also because he's such an incredible human," he continued. "We click both in and out of the studio, making this collaboration even more special to me."

Warren, who made his Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade debut in November, exclusively told PEOPLE about a role he dreamt of as a child — which is not unlike something Jonas did in the past.
"I really wanted to be a Nickelodeon actor really badly... Nickelodeon or Disney," Warren said. "That was my favorite stuff growing up. I was obsessed with every show like iCarly,Hannah Montana and all the greats... Suite Life of Zack & Cody."

"If Nickelodeon or Disney had to ask me to guest star in a show, I don't care what they would pay me, I would do it just for the fact that it was a bucket list thing of mine," he continued. "Still do it to this day... it's so weird, but genuinely."
Earlier in his career, Jonas (along with his brothers Nick and Kevin) werein Camp Rockand had their own television show called JONAS. The Grammy winner released the single "What This Could Be" in October from his upcoming album Music for People Who Believe In Love.
