"What a fun night!" Alba said of the date night with her husband
"Mom and dad" Jessica Alba and Cash Warren clean up nice for date night.
On Friday, Oct. 4, the actress, 43, shared a recap of the evening before — which included a date night in Washington, D.C. with her husband, 45.
"The best time in DC with my favorite humans! Mom & Dad @cash_warren got dressed up to attend the ELC gala - thank you so much for having us @elcinfo - what a fun night!" she captioned an Instagram carousel.
Several images in the roundup showed Alba and Warren looking sharp for the Executive Leadership Council's gala.
The Honey star wore a strapless black tulle gown with a nude underlay for the special occasion. The top featured a fitted, corset-like structure with the bottom half flowing. Alba paired the dress with a black clutch purse and diamond drop earrings.
For makeup, Alba kept her look natural with a dark red lip for a pop of color.
Warren stood beside his wife for photos, coordinating in a classic black suit and tie with a white collared shirt underneath.
Alba's upload also showed a video of the couple, who tied the knot in 2008, dancing to the event's musical entertainment — Bell Biv DeVoe.
"And we got to take Honor exploring around the city for her first time! 🏛️💫 10/10 trip ☺️," her caption concluded, referencing her and Warren's 16-year-old daughter Honor. They are also parents to daughter Haven, 13, and son Hayes, 6.
Other images in Alba's post showed her family visiting the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial while they were in town.

In September, Alba spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about how Honor and Haven both wore dresses that their mom wore a decade ago when they attended a premiere for their Alba's Netflix film Trigger Warning in June.
"I love reusing things, and I love two or three uses out of anything, especially a red carpet look," Alba said.
Honor wore her mom's Prada look from the 2010 London premiere of Valentine's Day, while Haven wore a Dolce & Gabbana dress from Alba's San Diego Comic-Con appearance for 2007's Good Luck Chuck.
"It was my idea, because I didn't want to go and get them a dress for one night, you know?" Alba said of how the night's attire came to be. "So I knew they were going to the screening for Trigger Warning, and I was like, 'Would you guys wear these dresses? I picked them out. I think they would look really cute on you, but I mean, if you don't like them [it's okay].' "
"I think they both thought that they wore it better — which, by the way, they did," she added.
Trigger Warning is now streaming on Netflix.
