I transformed my bathroom's 'hospital flooring' using a £19 Amazon buy – I'm chuffed, it's renter friendly too

IF your rental property could do with some livening up, this woman’s bathroom renovation may inspire some confidence.
The Reddit user showed off the DIY glow up she achieved with a lick of paint and a budget buy from Amazon.
In her Reddit post, user Suitable-Party-675 gave a side-by-side comparison of her handy work.
The poster explained that she wanted to give her rental bathroom a new lease of life.
She decribed the basic decor when she first moved in, which can also be spotted in the before picture.
While the walls featured the standard magnolia paint, she called the sandy-coloured ground “hospital-like flooring.”
The renter added a splash of colour to the room with a tropical leaf bath matt and parrot-patterned shower curtains.
However, she eventually decided to put some more effort into the space, opting for some landlord-approved upgrades.
“I painted all the walls, sanded down the skirting, shelving, and door and brightened up with white paint suitable for wood,” she revealed.
She chose a deep forest green color for the walls and added a hanging basket to the wall.
The Redditor said she also “laid vinyl flooring and used sealant” to ensure it stayed in place without trapping moisture underneath.
She explained how she was able to upgrade the flooring without breaking the terms of her rental contract.
“It's peel and stick vinyl, the sealant is so the edges don't come up,” she said.
The renter was able to transform her entire floor for just £40 using the temporary vinyl.

The Reddit user opted for a light grey wooden flooring look.
She added that wasn’t able to do much with the permanent fixtures such as the towel rail, radiator, or bath.
To brighten up the space, she added stick and peel lighting elements to the walls.
