A DIY enthusiast has revealed that she gave her housing association home bathroom a mega makeover, all whilst on a budget.
So if the cost of living crisis has made your purse feel tighter than ever before, but you want to add style to your space, then you'll need to check this out.
A savvy mum has revealed that she gave her housing association home bathroom a total transformation for less than £150[/caption] Whilst Ally Mac recognised that her bathroom might not be to everyone’s taste, she is thrilled with her animal-themed space[/caption] She used bargains from B&Q, Dunelm and The Range[/caption] She also added her own pictures to add a unique element to her bathroom[/caption]Using bargain buys from Dunelm, Shein, Matalan and The Range, Ally Mac was able to turn her bathroom from drab to fab, without breaking the bank.
Thrilled with her impressive overhaul, Ally took to social media to share a before and after look at the bathroom, leaving many open-mouthed.
Posting on DIY On A Budget, a private Facebook group with 2.2 million members, Ally shared snaps of her animal-themed bathroom, which was once very plain, and wrote: "Well aware this isn’t to everyone’s taste but then neither am I."
Ally then confirmed that she nabbed paint from B&Q and her zebra and tiger wallpaper from Dunelm.
She also got her funky zebra shower curtain for just £5 from The Range £5 and her tiger rug for only £6.50 from Shein.
Continuing the animal theme, Ally nabbed a zebra planter from Matalan, a tiger head from The Range and an elephant hook from Dunelm, costing her just £4 in sale.
She then confirmed: "I made the artwork. Shein has great artwork but sizes were a nightmare and not as stated, so easier to print my own.
"The idea was to go all black but I bottled it at the last minute."
Ally explained that by nabbing bargains from the high street and making artwork herself, she was able to keep the costs low, as she beamed: "All cost less than £150."
She then continued: "[It] will do until the housing association replaces the bathroom suite."
Whilst she initially wanted to paint her radiator to match the funky vibe, she acknowledged: "[I] did ask permission to paint the radiator but was told this is being replaced soon so pointless.
"Just a new floor to go down and a shower screen."
