Huge new attraction launching in the UK next year based on iconic 1980's video game

CHILDREN of the Eighties rejoice, as a new Pac-Man themed attraction is coming to the UK.
The Pac-Man Live Experience will bring the game to life at the Arcade Arena in Manchester, with tickets on sale from today.

The game will feature 12 levels and be led by a game show-style host who also serves as referee, creating an experience reminiscent of the popular Crystal Maze Live Experience in London.
In fact, the project is being spearheaded by Tom Lionetti-Maguire of Little Lion Entertainment, the producer behind The Crystal Maze Live Experience.
British video game fans will have even more real-life experiences to choose from soon, as Minecraft World is also launching at a UK theme park between 2026 and 2027.
Mojang Studios, the game creator, has signed a deal to introduce themed attractions, hotels, food and drink to Britain via Merlin Entertainments.
The immersive experience will put guests into the Minecraft world with “digitally enabled real-life experiences and the creation of touchpoints that will allow guests to unlock exclusive in-game content to continue their gaming journey.”
While it’s not yet clear where it will be built, Merlin runs everything from Chessington World Of Adventures, Legoland Windsor Resort, Thorpe Park and Alton Towers.
It also has city centre attractions like Legoland Discovery, The London Dungeons and The Shrek Experience.
And across the Atlantic, there’s a new Super Nintendo World opening at the new Universal Theme Park coming to Florida next summer.
As well as meet and greets with the famous characters, there will be an AR racing ride called Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, where guests steer along Mario Kart race-tracks, collecting coins and throwing shells.
