The comedian, who's hosting the ceremony, also joked about seeing Glen Powell in the audience
Nikki Glaser is prepared for her monologue as she hosts the 2025 Golden Globes — but she might have a few impromptu tricks up her sleeve.
During an interview with E! Live from the Red Carpet ahead of the ceremony on Sunday, Jan. 5, in Beverly Hills, Calif., the comedian said when she recites her opening spiel on air it "will be my 94th time telling some version of this."
"We're constantly making edits, trying to top jokes, trying to just strike the right note and tone for the evening," said Glaser, 40, on the red carpet at The Beverly Hilton. "But a lot of work has gone into it."
Even considering the prep, "I really think I might go a little wild, because I'm so cozy with it," she continued. "And now I'm suddenly gonna see the people I'm [talking about], like, Glen Powell right here. Timothée [Chalamet] — like, it's gonna set off something new in my head, for sure."

Glaser said she doesn't "want people to think that, 'Oh, she's just reciting some monologue.' "
"I practice so much so that when I get up there, I'm off book, and I can just be in it. And then that's when stuff's gonna start coming out that wasn't planned," she explained. "Now I know it so well, I can be myself up there."
Speaking of Powell, 36, Glaser joked of the Hit Man star, "He is going to be in the back, and he has to wear sunglasses so he can't make eye contact with me, because it will throw me. I need to stay dry."
Glaser told PEOPLE last month that she wasn't "out for blood" with her monologue, adding of the celebrities in attendance, "I don't want to ruin their nights, and I certainly don't want them to remember my name for the wrong reasons."

She said she knew her reputation as a roast queen preceded her, and she is mindful of that ahead of the evening.
"I don't want anyone to go into this feeling like, 'Oh my God,' coming up with armor on. 'Who does this girl think she is?' " Glaser continued.
"But it's still a big, glitzy, glamorous event where people are taking themselves too seriously. So it's walking a line with them," she added. "Every joke I write, I want it to be edgy enough to please the people at home, the common man wants me to take down the Hollywood elite — even though we all worship the Hollywood elite — they still want me to put them in their place."
