The Festival of Lights has begun!
Families around the world brought their menorahs out this week to kick of Hanukkah which this year, in a rare occurrence, began on Christmas Day.
From Gwyneth Paltrow and Mila Kunis who teamed up with Noa Tishby to celebrate the holiday and share about their Jewish upbringings to Milo Manheim who wished his followers a "Happy Chrismukkah" — see how these celebrities are ringing in Hanukkah this year.
Maddona
Since the first night of Hanukkah fell on Christmas Day this year, families who celebrate both holidays doubled the festivities.
On Dec. 26, Madonna gave a glimpse into her dual holiday celebrations which she rang in with four of her kids and boyfriend Akeem Morris. The singer shared a slideshow her Instagram, showcasing the family's Christmas tree and menorah, among other things.
"The most wonderful day of the year ………..X-mas and Hanukkah all at once," she wrote.
Gwyneth Paltrow
To kick off the first night of Hanukkah on Dec. 25, Noa Tishby was joined by Gwyneth Paltrow to light the menorah. In a video shared by Tishby, the Goop founder talks about her blended upbringing — her mother, Blythe Danner, is Christian, and her late-dad Bruce Paltrow was Jewish.
"I felt so fortunate because I got to grow up with these two very different worlds and very different faiths," she told Tishby. "I always felt an incredible pull to my Jewish family — I still do. And just the traditions and the warmth and the unconditional love. And the food and the yelling and the family!"
Mila Kunis
For night two of the Festival of Lights, Tishby is joined by Mila Kunis — and Ashton Kutcher via phone call — to light the menorah.
Jessica Seinfeld
It was also Hanukkah in the Seinfeld household, as Jessica Seinfeld shared a photo of the menorah — with what appears to be the family's cat getting a closer look.
Milo Manheim
Milo Manheim wished his followers a "Happy Chrismukkah" on Wednesday night as he celebrated both holidays with a menorah and a "Ho! Ho! Ho" mug sitting behind it holding chocolates.
Julian Edelman
Former NFL player Julian Edelman celebrated Hanukkah on Wednesday with his "people" — including daughter Lily who sat on dad's lap as they lit the menorah.
Mayim Bialik
Mayim Bialik shared a photo of her menorah lit up for the first night of Hanukkah and pointed out that "yes, that's a cookie sheet underneath 🕎" – which can be used to catch the wax drippings!
