Gospel Singer DOE Welcomes First Baby with Husband Orlando Palmer: 'Completely Changed Me' (Exclusive)

The gospel singer, 36, has welcomed her first baby, a son named Shiloh, with husband Orlando Palmer, a rep for the couple confirms to PEOPLE.

"My first child. My beautiful black son has completely changed me," DOE tells PEOPLE. "I can't believe that God has given me the opportunity to steward this little life."

"My husband and I are so thankful for the blessing of our first child," she adds.

In August, DOE celebrated the first anniversary of her wedding to Palmer, posting a slideshow of photos from their wedding on Instagram.

"One year ago today, on a Tuesday….. I walked down the aisle of a beautiful Anglican Church and married my forever lover💕. I love you @iamsonmusic," she wrote in her caption.

"Thank you for being my broad shoulders and safest place, my protector and my encourager. I love you deeply. I've had so much fun with you over the past year as your wifey poo and now soon to be baby mamma 😘😘. Happy very first ANNIVERSARY."

Earlier that summer, the singer shared that she was expecting her first baby with Palmer as she released her single "Heart of a Human." Sharing a video from her wedding, the newly minted mom announced the exciting news on Instagram.
