Gisele Bündchen Channels Actress Monica Vitti with Blonde Bob for Zara Campaign: See the Striking Resemblance

Gisele Bündchen is paying homage to an Italian cinema great.

On Thursday, Oct. 3, the 44-year-old supermodel revealed that her latest photoshoot look for Zara was inspired by Italian actress Monica Vitti — as she rocked a messy blonde bob reminiscent of the late star.

"Was so fun to play Monica Vitti for the lens of my dear friend Steven Meisel for the special @stefanopilati collection for @zara 📸," Bündchen captioned an Instagram post featuring snaps from the shoot.

In the images, Bündchen could be seen posing alongside Italian fashion designer Stefano Pilati as she wore a few standout pieces from his debut eponymous collection with Zara. Those looks included a faux fur coat, long polka dot vest, a striped frill front shirt and more.

To tie it all in, Bündchen opted for some bob action — a look that contrasted her standard longer blonde waves while paying tribute to the late Vitti, who died at age 90 in 2022.

Per Vogue in 2014, Vitti's "bouncy blonde bob" has continued to be praised since she gained notoriety for her work in Michelangelo Antonioni's 1960 film L'Avventura. Dario Franceschini, Italy's Minister of Culture, confirmed Vitti's death in a statement two years ago, calling her "the queen of Italian cinema." Her most notable works include Antonioni's L'Avventura (1960), La Notte (1961) and L'Eclisse (1962).

Bündchen and Pilati were photographed in New York by Steven Meisel for the latest collection of ready-to-wear and accessories, which a release notes "draws inspiration from Pilati's own distinct sense of style as both an individual and a designer, translating his singular expression of chic across a multitude of categories."

Its was a busy summer for Bündchen, who celebrated her 44th birthday in July, took a "dream" trip to Lençóis Maranhenses National Parkin Brazil not long after and got some attention for her slightly cropped jeans and a fashionable handwoven tote bag as she transitions her style to suit the fall.

The supermodel and mother — who is mom to son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11, who she shares with ex-husband Tom Brady — also said goodbye to summer last month with a roundup of photos on Instagram featuring glimpses at food, loved ones and her cookbook Nourish: Simple Recipes to Empower Your Body and Feed Your Soul.

Back in August, she paid tribute to Brady's oldest son John "Jack" Edward Thomas, whom he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan, as she celebrated his 17th birthday on Instagram. At the time, she shared a throwback image of Jack as a little boy, before posting an updated snap of the two on her Instagram Stories.

"Happy birthing to this sweet peanut," she wrote on top of the first image, before writing alongside the second: "Who turned into this beautiful, kind and incredible young man. We are so lucky to have you in our lives! Love you so much!"
