Justin Timberlake's summer scandal seemingly got a primetime call-out.

In the season 2 premiere of Elsbeth, the CBS police procedural dramedy's main characters appeared to poke fun at the pop star's June DWI arrest in the Hamptons.

At the top of the Oct. 17 episode, the titular character Elsbeth Tascioni (Carrie Preston) and fictional NYPD officer Kaya Blanke (Carra Patterson) are walking through Manhattan, discussing how their summer had slowed down and they hadn't worked a notorious case recently.

"What happened to all our high-profile cases?" Tascioni, an attorney working as a consultant for the NYPD.

After Blanke responds, "Oh, they're all in Martha's Vineyard, Tuscany...driving drunk in Sag Harbor," the two women share a look and a laugh before moving on to their own fictional investigation.

Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor, N.Y., on June 18 and charged with driving while intoxicated; he received two citations for running a stop sign and failure to keep in lane. The "Selfish" singer ended up taking a plea deal and in court on Sept. 13 pled guilty to a lesser charge of driving while ability impaired.

"I did not live up to the standard I hold myself to," Timberlake told the judge at the hearing, adding that he had been "raised on certain values" and is aware of his influence, "a platform I spent my life making."

Timberlake is currently on the road for his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which is expected to be one of the top tours of 2024.

Elsbeth premiered on CBS in February 2024 and became a hit; its season 1 premiere in May was the most-watched Thursday show with 4.9 million viewers, TVLine reported. Elsbeth airs Thursdays on CBS at 10 p.m. ET and is available to stream on Paramount+.
