Elderbrook marks the release of his third album Another Touch with an ambitious selection of tracks from his DJ sets

ELDERBROOK burst onto the scene when his collaboration with the illustrious Camelphat duo, Cola, was nominated at the 2018 Grammy Awards for Best Dance Recording, narrowly missing out to LCD Soundsystem's big hitter, Tonite.

The English DJ and producer, real name Alexander Kotz, had already notched up an impressive collection of dance floor delights, including work with Gorgon City and a massive remix for pop dance stars Clean Bandit back in 2016.

Since then Elderbrook released his debut long player Why Do We Shake In The Cold, which included the hit collaboration with Rudimental, Something About You.

His well-received second album, Little Love, followed soon afterwards. It was dedicated to his kids and inspired by sleepless nights.

And now, he's just released his third album, Another Touch, which includes more familiar mouth-watering collaborations, this time with the likes of Shimza, Carlita, Vintage Culture and George Fitzgerald.

It is without doubt his most ambitious work to date.

We caught up with Elderbrook and asked him to compile a playlist of music that finds its way into his DJ sets and his selection also includes favourites from the new album, which is out now:

Elderbrook – Shallow Water [Mine Recordings]
This track holds a special place for me — it was one of the first singles I released from Another Touch, and the second song on the album.

It really captures that balance of vulnerability and groove that I was aiming for. This track sets the listener up to lose themselves in the sound of this project. It's a perfect intro to the journey the album takes you on.

Pretty Girl – All Good (Jasper Tygner Remix) [Steel City Dance Discs]
This is a slightly newer artist whose sound I have really been enjoying recently

Jasper Tygner works his magic here, turning All Good into a warm, uplifting tune. I love the way he sampled the vocals to give it a more choppy, bouncy feel.

Ourson – Always You [Beyond Rec]
This track fits in right at home on Beyond Rec with soft and soothing melodies yet a driving beat.

This tune by Ourson is like stepping into a dreamy haze. It's light and hypnotic, a perfect moment of calm. Definitely a standout for me whenever I want to wind down.

DJ Seinfeld – These Things Will Come To Be [Ninja Tune]
DJ Seinfeld brings his signature nostalgic touch to this track blending lo-fi beats with warm synths.

It's an effortlessly catchy track with a timeless feel that makes it memorable and versatile in any playlist.

DJ Tennis – Gordon [Running Back]
Gordon has all the hallmarks of DJ Tennis' style: A dark, pulsing bassline and layers of depth that add intrigue.

It's ideal for setting a moody, late-night vibe and works as a powerful anchor in any set.

Tears (ft. Paige Cavell) – John Summit [Experts Only]
What a great track! John Summit combines high-energy production with Paige Cavell's vocals to create something that's both emotional and made for peak-time energy.

It's catchy hook, making it perfect for a crowd-moving moment.

Barry Can't Swim – How It Feels [Ninja Tune]
Barry Can't Swim has this incredible way of blending jazz influences with electronic grooves, and How It Feels is a perfect example of this.

It has a deep, warm feel that's sophisticated yet totally danceable — an irresistible blend of groove and smoothness.

Disclosure & Eliza Doolittle – You & Me (Rivo Extended Mix) [UMC]
Rivo's extended remix gives new life to this Disclosure classic, adding fresh energy with extended breakdowns and an upbeat drive.

It has just the right balance of nostalgia and modern punch, making
it perfect for lifting the vibe mid-set.

Stereoclip – Day One (Extended Mix) [Armada Electronic Elements]
This is a beautifully layered track with beautiful melody and a steady beat, creating a relaxed yet driving feel.

Stereoclip crafted something here that's great for setting an easygoing mood. The sound design in this track is crafted to perfection.

Elderbrook & George FitzGerald – Glad I Found You  [Mine Recordings]
Had to include this one! The first single from the new album, with the incredible George FitzGerald.

Playing it for the first time at Red Rocks was a huge moment and it's now a firm favourite of mine in the set.
