Drew Barrymore is honoring her friendship with Cameron Diaz.

On Thursday, Jan. 2, Barrymore, 49, shared six photos of herself and her longtime bestie Diaz, 52, to Instagram, where she recreated a TikTok trend known as "this friend of mine" by sharing photos of the two over the years.

"And then I met this friend of mine, and all I have to do is stand in front of her and she sees everything I am, everything I stand for," Barrymore's caption reads. Her post includes a recent selfie she and Diaz took, as well as older photos of them laughing together and a candid shot of the pair dressed up in suits and wearing facial hair from the set of Charlie's Angels. One final snapshot shows Diaz planting a kiss on Barrymore's head.

"There's a level of seeing I've never really had before in my life," the caption continues. "She looks at me and she sees me."

"And then I met this friend of mine… @camerondiaz ❤️," Barrymore added alongside her post.

Though Diaz and Barrymore did costar in the early 2000s Charlie's Angels movies, the pair's friendship dates back further. The pair met as teenagers when Barrymore was working at a coffee shop and Diaz was modeling, as they told Instagram users during an Instagram Live session held back in 2021.

"We've experienced birth, life, death, marriage, divorce— highs and lows, work, boyfriends, friends, travel — there is nothing we haven't done together," Barrymore, who shares daughtersOlive, 12, and Frankie, 10, with her ex-husband Will Kopelman, said. Diaz, meanwhile, shares two children with her husband Benji Madden, whom she has been married to since 2015.
